A World Cup Prayer

This is a summary of what was preached before praying for the coming world cup (25/05/2010)

The church, Change Bible Church-Henley Branch dedicated itself to win 261 souls during the period of the world cup. This stand was taken during a home cell prayer. Each member of the church made a commitment to win souls during this period.

“God says we must pray.” Said Mom Rose.

“Psalms 124:1-7 with main focus on 6 & 7 says, ‘1. If the Lord had not been on our side – let Israel say, 2. If the Lord had not been on our side when men attacked us, 3. when their anger flared against us, they would have swallowed us alive; 4. the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, 5. the raging waters would have swept us away. 6. Praise be to the Lord who has not let us be torn by their teeth. 7. We have escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.’”

“We need to pray brethren . Why do we have to pray? We pray because we need salvation. We pray always without season. People need to be saved."

“The world cup is an opportunity of life time. I don’t think it will ever come again in our life time.” Said mom Rose.

“Then, the question is; what must I do during this world cup period? There must be something I do as a Christian. I have read in a booklet that, some of the countries coming to South Africa; salvation is not preached. God is bringing this world cup to South Africa for a good purpose. People have said negative things about this world cup, but I see our visitors receiving Jesus during their stay in this country.”

“Someone told me that, on the last day of the world cup, there will be attacks against foreigners. Let me tell you, with our God nothing negative will happen. We will group ourselves to pray against the enemy. We will target the B&Bs; hotels; market places and other places where our visitors will be found. And we are determined to preach the word of God.”

“We are in South Africa and we will stand in the gap. We are going to pray for Jerusalem for peace. The myths of the private meetings of distruction will not succeed.”

“The spirit of darkness is rebuked. God has good plans for this world cup; and we are aware that the devil is planning on the other side.”

“Jesus was born in a kraal, and that happened for a purpose. It is for this purpose that many will receive their salvation and know Jesus in South Africa. South Africa is their kraal to come face to face with Jesus.”

“We will pray for peace and victory for Jesus; for South Africa and our boys so that no one is left to die.”

“Be strong in the Lord. We need to pray for safety, salvation and everything to go well. We will pray against accidents. The devil has planned distructions, but we will stand in the gap.”

“I had a vision sometimes back. I was taken to a place on my way to work. I came across a shelter and I saw animals and a dog with no furs standing outside the shelter. These animals had to be inside but they were tied outside the shelter. This means the shelter was Jesus and I heard the voice challenging me to preach the word to people so that they can come inside the shelter.”

“we can’t keep quiet brethren. God called us for a purpose and we will stand in the gap.”

“This is the time to pray and preach the word to the lost to come into salvation.”

HOW OLD ARE YOU?

(This is a summary of the Sunday message 22-May 2010)
By Mom Rose

Romans 8:1-3

1. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
2. because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
3. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man.

"How old are you?" That's Mom Rose

“How old are you?”

“Sometimes in life, certain circumstances will ask you, ‘How old are you?’ Sometimes you will be ashamed to state your own age. Maybe you are too old and you have achieved nothing in life. The devil always reminds you of your failures, but the grace of God alwaays take over.”

“You need to feel confident to tell your age so that you can receive your break through.”

"Anginizwa bazalwane" That's sesi Zodwa.

“If we look at the life of Paul, we know that he was a sinner; he was a very educated man though; he was also a proffessional killer who could acquire a certification/permission to kill, and no one could match him in that department.”

“God had a plan for Paul. God had a plan for you before you were born. You were in God’s mind before you were born. You need to be couragious and be confident that you will walk over your situations. No matter what the situation might be, be confident. The problem you are facing, be not ashamed of it.”
“Paul was strucked by lightining on his usual journeys. He fell down and he asked, ‘Who are you?’ and Jesus said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.’ Paul was instructed to go and pray”

“There were things that Paul had to pass through for him to be able to serve God. There are people who are sent to do certain things in other people’s life.”

“In Christ Jesus, there’s no condemnation.”

The church of today at Henley on Klip

“The law cannot work because the flesh came with sin. The law cannot make your husband stop running around with girlfriends; your words cannot stop your children from doing wrong. You cannot advise your children ‘girls’ not to sleep with boys, but you can always give them God. If I tell my girls not to sleep with boys, whenever they see boys they will always remember my words, but what will happen to them when I’m gone. But if I give them the word, and tell them that sex before marriage is a sin, when I’m gone they will always remember that God in His word says, ‘sex before marriage is a sin’, not me.”
“People can name their kids Jesus, but not Christ. Why? Because Christ is the annointed one. Christ knew His ministry. Jesus as God had to pass through certain tests; he was kicked, beaten, falsely accused; even sent by a child being His earthly father Joseph. This happened to him to show his character. His character had to be revealed.”

“You had dreams before, what happened to them? You are now holding to the saying which says; ‘because my father died a poor man, I will die poor’”

“How old are you?”

“Do you remember Jacob. Though this man was a ‘crook’, he carried generations on his back. He is the same man who wrestled with God. That is when he got his name Israel.”

“At his old age, Jacob headed for Egypt and when he met his son he knew that he has achieved his longest wish as he said, ‘Now I am ready to die, since I have seen for myself that you are still alive’”

“Before that, we see Judah taking responsibility before Joseph revealed himself to his brothers, he told them to bring Benjamin the younger brother. When they requested to go with Benjamin, Jacob resisted, but Judah assured his father, ‘I myself will guarantee his safety; you can hold me personally responsible for him...’”

“What will you say to God? Some people will take a blame for what they did not do when they were sent to.”

A miracle child. The mother of this child gave a touchy testimony about the same child. God is good!

“What is your work?”

“When Jacob was presented to Pharoah, the first thing he was asked, ‘How old are you?’”

“The second question he was asked, ‘what is your work?’”

“Yes, life can ask you questions; situations can, but you must know that you have found favour with God; you have found grace. It is God’s grace that sustains us when such questions comes our way. Because of grace, we enter where no one else enters.”

“Jacob was already 130 years, but he had tested no joy. His son Joseph had been killed, and he had no joy in his entire life.”

“We need to take away the Ishmaels in our lives. He is a destroyer. We need Isaac in our lives because he is joy.”

“One has to go, and one has to stay. Isaac couldn’t keep them both. You remember Simon. He was told that he would not see death unless he see salvation. When Jesus was brought to him at his old age, blind as he was; he rejoiced and he was ready to leave because he met his salvaation as promised.”
“What is your promise from God? Even if it is not easy, keep on going.”

Why Prayers are not answered?

By Pastor Xola Nzo (22 may 2010)
(Highlights of his message)
(Continuation of last week message)
Pastor Nzo preaching at the main Change Bible Church in Natalspruit
• Your prayers will not be answered if you treat other people bad. God is a God of people. Now if you traet His people bad, you don’t need to expect any blessings from Him.
• God created human beings in His image. He created everything, and when He created a human being, he knew that it was His best “shot”. He created human beings to reflect Him.
• Jesus died for human beings so that we may be saved. If you love God, love His people.

I John 3:14
“We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death.

• Now, forgive.
• Forgive all your enemies, mother in laws, father in laws, sister in laws, brother in laws. Forgive everyone.
• Love the bretheren because we have passed from death to life.
• Love is the highest form of relationship that exist in the world.
• If you don’t love other people, you will go nowhere.
• If God want to evaluate you does not put a tape in a bank account, but around your heart.
• Your treatment towards your kids.
• How can you expect them to do good for you if you treated them bad?
• How can you withdraw money from the account you did not deposit anything?
• Love is always on top of the list.
• Forgive!
• Remain humbled!
• Take way sin!
• Put people first!
• Don’t be rude!
• What you say kill prayers. The process between the time you ask and the waiting is essential.
• You must discipline your mouth.
• Principle yourself.
• Don’t utter anti God’s statements.
• We ask in praayer.
• The process where I ask is “prayer”
• Believe that you receive them and you will have them.
• Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you receive them and have them.
• You will have them after you have believed that you have them.
• Forgive!
• It is costly/difficult to forgive.
• Learn to forgive!

God is looking for men who will build his church

Home Cell Message was read in the book of; 1 Kings 5:6-10

6 "So give orders that cedars of Lebanon be cut for me. My men will work with yours, and I will pay you for your men whatever wages you set. You know that we have no one so skilled in felling timber as the Sidonians."

David couldn't build the house of God because of the many wars he fought in his life time. The task was left with Solomon his son.

Now, lets see how Solomon approached the task that was left for him by his father. First of all, he had to see the importance of building God's temple. He also had to acknowledge that he was the chosen one to build God's house.

Solomon was aware how much his father feared God, so he was well prepared to do his best to build a house fit for his father's God.

For him to build God's house he had to get the best materials. That is why he ordered the best wood ever, "The cedars of Babylon".

Now this type of wood was only found in Babylon not anywhere else. That is why he sent for that type of wood and he was ready to pay even for the labour. This wood, as stated in the last sentece of verse 6 could only be felled by the skilled workers. Well trained men were need because it was the wood of quality.

David knew very well what kind of qualities such a wood has. This wood has 5-6 characteristics, but I picked 4;
We have tall cedars. This means when the tree grow talls, the roots goes deeper. The roots ensures that when winds and storms attacks, it stands still. (God need men who are prayerful).

We have the burning cedars. If you put fire on it, it keeps on burning without stopping. (God needs men who will be on fire no matter what. Men who will bring warmeth in the house of God).

We have the little cedars. This type of cedars are those which always hook on each other and prevent others from falling. (God need men who will be able to encourage one another even in times of temptations.)

Then we have the hyimg cedars. (God is looking for men who will show love to the lost and to his children).
God needs men with those qualities to build his house!!!

We have found favour in the eyes of God

This Sunday the word of God was read in the book of Genesis 41:50, 51 & 52.
Pastor Xola Nzo (Senior Pastor)
50, “Before the years of famine came, two sons were born to Joseph by Asenah daughter of Potiphera, priest of On.

51, “Joseph named his first born Manasseh and said, ‘It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.’

52, “The second son he named Ephraim and said, ‘It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.’”

“Here we see Joseph praising God for his victorious life after many years of hardship. If we remember very well; he was sold by his brothers because of the dreams he had. His brothers hated him so much. He was also sent to prison and in prison he interpreted dreams; the dreams which manifested and led him to be a Governor of Egypt.” said Mama Rose. She is currently leading the Sunday sermons in the absence of the senior pastor, Pastor Nzo; who is still running services in a new branch which had been launched in Durban.

Mama Rose is a woman who speaks with confidence and authority. Many are blessed and revived by the messages she preaches every Sundays and Tuesdays.

Change-Henley on Klip branch today
“Dreams can become a reality. Joseph’s dreams led him to save his family which later became a powerful chosen nation of God. Joseph had found favour in the eyes of God. That is why after all the troubles he had come across, he praised God. With his firstborn, he remembered that God had been with him all the years of his sufferings and with God he made it through; and he did not focus on his past. That was possible because God was with him. He found favour in the eyes of God.”

“God did not only protect him, but he made him fruitful. That is why his second son was named Ephraim. God multiplied his blessings in a land where he was a stranger; where he faced challenges; where he faced imprisonment, and where he came face to face with the famine. He did not forget God.”

Mama Rose leading the sermon

“Most of the time we forget who God is. We always focus on the things that are irrelevant to God’s things. We always want things to happen our own way. Take the story of Leah. Jacob worked for 7 years for him to have Rachel. The bible says, Rachel the younger daughter of Laban was so beautiful and lovely. Though Leah was beautiful but she could not match Rachel.”

“Jacob worked for 7 years for Rachel, but when the time came, Laban could not let his daughter Rachel merry Jacob before his elder daughter Leah. Laban tricked Jacob like his mother did to Esau when she helped him to steal his blessings.”

“Becareful bretheren, what you do today might come the same way in future. He tricked his brother and today he was facing the same situation. Now Jacob had to work another 7 years for Rachel because he was forced to merry Leah with the first 7 years according to Laban’s culture which was not revealed in the beginning of the agreement.”

“Now we see a woman staying with a man who was never interested in her. God opened Leah’s womb and she bore Jacob children. This made her feel that Jacob would love her but it was not the case. Jacob continued to love Rachel the more though she was barren. But when she gave birth to Judah, she shifted the focus from man to God as she said, ‘This time I’ll praise the Lord.’”

“It is important that after men have failed you; you need to change your focus to God. It didn’t help Leah even if she was giving birth for her husband, but she had to realise that God was her only hope. This time, she decided to shift the praise to God. She realised that only God need the praise; Only God need to be pleased no matter what the situation might be.”

“Joseph did the same. With his two sons he praised God after the hardships he had seen; and after the famine. You can do the same today. You can raise your two fingers like a pair of scissors and cut everything that is a stumbling block in your life. Today, every curse; every trouble; every suffering; can be stopped; only if you can look unto the Lord.”
